Dear Mr. Slater:
My name is (Mr.) Lee A. Smith and I live in Tallahassee, Florida. I have
been watching you since you were a little boy (on the late, great, “The
Edge of Night”). I’m praying (literally) for your new series “The For-
gotten” to be the project that puts you “on the map” in the television
medium. I have enjoyed your guest starring roles over the years and
your previous series “My Own Worst Enemy” was cancelled way too soon. (It
was an interesting and unique concept and a perfect vehicle for you. In
interviews you seemed very enthusiastic and excited about it.) Well, at
least “My Own Worst Enemy” has been released in a DVD box set. Do you
have it yet? I plan on purchasing it later this fall. I saw it for sale
recently in my local Best Buys store.
I have also enjoyed your various film roles over the years. You have
never been typecast in your theatrical feature film projects, which is
good, I think.
Has your father, Michael Hawkins (Gainsborough?) retired? I remember him
fondly from his “Ryan’s Hope” days. Now that you are forty, you really
do resemble him greatly. Have you ever acted in any project with him?
Perhaps he could guest star on “The Forgotten.”
Once again, I’m praying for “The Forgotten” to be at least a modest hit.
Reading the latest issue of TV GUIDE (the “Fall Preview” issue), “The
Forgotten’s” producer was quoted as being really excited about your
(last minute?) addition to the show.
I (and I think many other admirers) really want this show to be “The One”
for you.
Best wishes for continued success in your career.
I, and I know many others here in Tallahassee would enjoy having you and
your family visit us here. Out local university, Florida State, has an
excellent theatre department with wonderful productions every year. I
know that you would enjoy the plays and the theatre students would enjoy
talking to you.
Sincerely,
Lee A. Smith
Tallahassee, Florida
I can’t wait for your new show! My first movie that I ever seen you in was Gleaming the Cube and I’ve been hooked ever since then. Keep up the great work and god bless you and your family.
Cheers, Jeff
I love Christian Slater and will watch whatever he’s on. I for on loved My Own Worst Enemy. They were fools to stop that one… I loke the Forgotten so far. I hope they have the sense to keep it on.
Christian, You are one of those actors who never fails to ACT. I have enjoyed every movie that I’ve ever seen you in. You make us “feel” like we are in the movie/show! LOVE YOU!

Christian, you are an outstanding actor. You have been for over 20 years. Regardless of what the critics said about “Mobsters,” I consider it one of the most entertaining and best pictures I have ever seen. I would think that you do, too. Happy belated birthday.
Hello Mr. Slater, just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your new ABC series The Forgotten. It’s just too bad the “Pinheads” at ABC have pulled the full episodes from their website. Don’t they know more and more people watch tv shows online as oppose to on the actual tv???? We would appreciate it if you could convince ABC to add the full episodes of your show back to their website.
Thanks and GOOD LUCK!
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed “the forgotten”. Yesterday 12/08 while watching the “Today” show they interviewed a young man who cut off his arm to release him from being stranded and possibility of death. He mentioned they were making a movie of the incident and interviewing for the lead character – Christian Slater, that is who they should choose. You would be perfect for that role!
I have just watched the ‘Overboard’ clipping from ‘The Forgotten’ and boy am I impressed! WOW! I was seriously thinking that there was something wrong with you Christian or if not with you at least with the directors you were working with on other pilots! They just didn’t know how to handle you huh?! This new series is seemingly doing you more justice than the scales themselves and it’s about time you got back into the roles that you (The unique, talented, charasmatic and versatile actor that you are) deserve to be cast in…Oh how I wish I was in America now to watch ABC live and considering the fact that I still don’t have sky TV (I’m genuinally far too busy trying to land a role myslef than to watch it anyway!) there is something that tells me I would graciously become a coach potatoe to watch you again and again and again and…Oh! For the joys of the Slater back on my screen just where he belongs…You are right up there at the top! Go you and well done! Ode to the producer/casting diretor that hired you!!! xxxxxxxx
HI Christian,i am so happy that you are doing this great work for us.you are the best.keep up the good work.
