The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades
I am sure anyone reading knows this was in opening credits for Kuffs. I always liked that song and was surprised to learn that it was not intended to
be optimistic at all. It was about needing sunglasses to prepare for a nuclear holocaust that would in the world in the 1980s. It is always odd when a
really popular song is misconstrued like that. Pat McDonald did not intend for it to be a graduation anthem.
It does fit Kuffs though, because Kuffs was freaking out about getting Maya pregnant and he had a very negative outlook of the situation. I was so
pissed at what he did to her (be a man, break up with her to her face) but it seems like he was just scared. Christian's facial expressions after she
told him were hilarious.
